Bad kicking for goal

Post: # 648525Post choowy »

equals losing games that can be won.

The dogs tonight shot themselves by blundering several opportunities late in the third and early in the fourth.

Please Roo bring your kicking boots with you tommorow night again.

Come on we can do this.

the dogs would have won that match if they'd had any sort of a forward line.

it was the kind of that match disproves blanket statements such as "games are won in the midfield".

from what i could see the dogs dominated use of the ball for much of the second half but had no real solid avenue to goal. they kicked eight behinds in a row at one stage.

give 'em a fevola, a franklin or a riewoldt and they would have won or gone very close indeed.

Dogs should have drawn level, and if they'd added scoreboard pressure to their tackling effort, the result might have been very different ...

Accurate kicking is as important in winning a game of footy, especially a final, as any other stat.

We need to kick straight ...

Yes they had the momentum....were having shots on goal...but missing.

Then that disgraceful Rooke decision...or rather non-decision as it should have been Johnson's free kick...and an easy goal to the Catsasa result with the pressure eased and momentum then swapped to the Cats.

This is Prelim Football and the saints will need to be on the top of our game against the Hawks.

Our accuracy in front of goal was superb last week! Thanks to Roo! Wasn't he just brilliant!

With a Captain like that, we can achieve great things! So proud of Riewoldt this season! :D

Our accuracy was horrendous last week - we should have kicked 21 straight. Dal from 20 out 'cos he doesn't have a routine. Schneids from 20 our on the run. Milne fromn 40 out, DIF. Kosi from 15 out, on a 15 angle.

Our kicking was horrid.
