Lenny Hayes and his disposals

Post: # 649333Post RodKeoghsLoveChild »

Guys I know he is hard at it, lays plenty of tackles but geez his disposals both kicking and handballs are terrible.

The guy constantly gets his hands on it and turns it over just as quickly and plenty of the time without much pressure applied to him.

Like a midget at a urinal, I was going to have to stay on my toes.

you could say the same for Ball, Gram, Raph, Jones, Eddy, Max, Blake, Fiora, Gilbert and i'm sure a few others

the only great kicks we have in the team are Dal, Goddard, Fisher and Roo

He is a workhorse mid....his efficiency has been very poor all season.....lack of effort is never an issue......these days lack of polish is a bit......

he is a very good mid, needs Bally for assistance.....and Dal to work harder and Goddard to play more around the stoppages

And Harvey

For the past few years he has been the best in the AFl for passes into 50.

To be fair, he was probably only about 60 per cent fit tonight

True, and everyone in the team was stuffed from last week...apart from Fizz, who's just stuffed period. Wish Lenny had gone at Hodge harder...where's our Powell/Guerra/Laurence replacement???

i actually think he has been playing with soreness and carrying small injuries for a while now.
some skills training over summer would help our boyz.....cant argue with that

Lenny has never been the same since his knee reco and probably never will. In 2006 he looked like a shoe-in for the Brownlow before he went down, but since his return he has lost a bit of pace and his disposal has gone to hell.

Still a quality player, but no longer elite.

lenny is a star, invaluable member of our team, however if we are to be objective about him, the thing that sets him apart from the elite mids of the competition IS his disposal and that he doesnt kick enough goals

this rubbish of "could you do better?" is just childish and ridiculous. the guy is playin AFL footy and he will be compared to other AFL footballers. if you dont have something constructive to add, dont bother posting.

Lenny is still Elite, and...invincible

but hes is beleived to have an injury cloud above him.

it is not like him to turn over the ball, or miss-dispose the ball, it is only lately that hes been having this trouble
