Post: # 650761Post The Saintsational Man »

Was mentioned on SEN just before.....

Can't remember the name of the host.

Amazing effort......just incredible.

Should've been AA.

That statistic says it all.

The best pure stopper in the AFL.

I've only seen him beaten badly once, and that was by David Neitz when he broke the AFL/VFL record and kicked 5 goals from outside 50m.

Let's face it. We've got an absolute gem with Max! When you think of a clubman for a club, for us it just screams Maxxy! I can't tell you of the joy it brings me in seeing the heart on the sleeve, bleed for the club commitment this guy produces week after week!

When they created LENNY HAYES (in the shadow of Harvs) they forgot to break the mold (again)- hence the Supremely Incredible Jack Steven!!

Does anyone know if that makes him number one or what goals other defenders had kicked on them? Would be interested in seeing all the stats to compare him to the ones that made AA team.

Don't argue with an idiot - people watching may not be able to tell the difference.

well one couldnt really get a goals against kicked on harley as he tends to float around and plays easily the simplest role in an afl team...

And does it week in week out. Just because HArley plays a great sweeping role, don't be bitter. Max is a different player, different role. And good at it.

Max isn't "cool".

Therefore, not AA material according to the tossers!

Fine! They can leave him out of AA, but they don't know what they're missing out on 8-)

The guy has given his all for the St.Kilda footy club.

Max is all G&D

p.s. when he put on the water works after that game that one point lost in 2001, for me, that was proof that he puts real passion into his game.

Great effort when you consider that you only have to touch a forward now for a free kick to be paid.Amazing others dont rate him,as we do

Yeah that's right, if he was in this kind of form 10 - 15 years ago he would have kept his opponents to about 10 goals.

Others don't rate him like we do because he is a humble champ and doesn't seek the limelight ... which is apparently what makes a great player these days
