With Farren Ray that would make at least 6 or 7 Top 5 Draft Picks..

So as usual ...the Saints look very good on paper ....
Now if only we had these players playing to their full potential ...

what a dumb statistic - it means nothing.

Fiora, M Gardiner, Farren Ray were all discarded ie we didnt pay Top 5 price.

X Clarke could easily be compared to Farren Ray - a top 5 pick who has not lived up to expectation.

By the way - for what its worth - I'm pretty sure S King was a #1 pick.

S. King - I dont think he was drafted via the National Draft... M Gardiner was #1 in 1997, I think.

It wasnt posted as a statistic ... just an unusual fact ...I dont believe any other club has had that many current top 5 picks ...
Re Stephen King .. I also thought he may have been a No1 Pick ..Can anyone confirm ..?

read an article earlier this year that said Harves and Scott West were the only 2 players left in the comp that didnt come through the draft system

I was under the impression he was picked up via a zonal draft or pre-season draft in 1996.

Gardiner on the other hand was a #1 Draft Pick in 1997.
