"Fortius Quo Fidelius"

Post: # 681762Post Moorabbin Saints »

Something that really strikes me is the underusage of our motto "Fortius Quo Fidelius" or "Strength through Loyalty". I believe it is a strong and powerful message in which we should be using more often. The average AFL fan, no matter who they go for, should know what it means. If we can do that by handing out signs before the game, advertising with it etc. it could go a long way in not just selling the motto, but the club as a whole.

I prefer using the following as a motto.

Ut vetus fossor per a punctum can rutila suus caput capitis sursum suus rectum iri quoniam sit an vetus fraus.

Losely translated, it means that all other teams will finish below us on the ladder.

The motto 'strength through loyalty' is a farce when used to describe our club at the moment.

Oh Rodge...you ol' sourpuss. At least wait until the team plays its first game next season before you start!

It's not the team that I'm particularly worried about.

Is that a fact or just an opinion?

Anyhow I would prefer this as our motto.

quidquid latine dictum sit, altum viditur

Lance or James??

There comes a point in every man's life when he has to say, "Enough is enough." For me, that time is now. I have been dealing with claims that I cheated and had an unfair advantage in <redacted>. Over the past three years, I have been subjected to a <redacted>investigation followed by <redacted> witch hunt. The toll this has taken on my family, and my work for <redacted>and on me leads me to where I am today – finished with this nonsense. (Oops just got a spontaneous errection <unredacted>)

Ah, that avatar's better.

Well, certainly seems like a fact in respect to Barker, Rock and Maddern...unfortunately in those cases, the loyalty has nothing to do with our club!

The new collingwood recruit Beams has Fortius quo fidelious tattooed across his chest, does that mean he went for us?

"The one on my chest says strength through loyalty, it's in Latin and that was my club motto when I was playing all my juniors," Beams said.
