No Goose either.
"...If there has been one recurring theme through this whole shocking mess, it has been the misguided, inflated egos and their ill-judged determination to cling to long-standing old boy friendships. The bad advice that has guided the selfish and culpable James Hird has not only punctuated this saga but symbolised it..."
Out from last week from what I remember is Heyne, LJ, Goose, Lynch and Choo Choo.
Ins seem to be Max. Schneider, Armo, Jimmy and King.
Raph still missing and as mentioned Rooy.
The way I see it this year its looks like we will be set for round one because as soon as players have been fit they have played and continued to play. Not many have been rested as per other seasons.

good to see max there
important to note that raph played up north so he got an extra game over over players. They might be trying to keep his load at a good level as this is his first real pre-season.

agreed, you would hope it would be a nice 10 goal winplugger66 wrote:The Tigers side is terrible. Only a practice match and it doesnt mean much at all but you would hope we can have an easy win against them.

And that's definitely the way to go.Teflon wrote:I think as others have said we are building for a rd 1 good start and for that are attempting to get as much time into the Rd 1 team as possible.borderbarry wrote:Disappointed again with the selection. Not enough youngsters.
The one thing I do hope is that unless the players not in our NAB Challenge team are being rested I'd like to see them getting a hitout in the Zebras intraclub.
In regards to Riewoldt, remember that if he doesn't get up for the final practice game next week, we still have the option to play him for Sandringham in their practice game the following week. You just need to gain permission from the AFL but I presume that would be a formality.

we need to start giving some of our regular guys in the 22 opportunity to get some form and with only 2 practice matches to go there is not much time left.borderbarry wrote:Disappointed again with the selection. Not enough youngsters.
still have 5-6 guys playing that were not in the finals from last year.

Plugger66 posted above that Heyne is playing tonight, but he is not in the squad of 28. Roo & Raph arent playing, both of whom would be expected to line up in round 1. Yet they can still only find room for Miles, Dawson, and Stephen amongst the unblooded in the 28. Instead they are playing players who wontg be playing round 1 but have been at the club for years, instead of the youngsters. That is why I am disappointed. I"ll still be there tonight though.
What youngers do you want to play tonight?borderbarry wrote:Plugger66 posted above that Heyne is playing tonight, but he is not in the squad of 28.
