Edited in light of Armoo's explanation - lol - just to keep space down!

But - can we set a clear and distinct time for cutoff - maybe 2 clear days after the game so a Friday game votes aren't counted if they are posted on a Monday, Saturday game - Tuesdays votes dont count, Sunday, Wednesday etc

Oh sorry mate, I meant to add a message down the bottom.
I added TBS's votes to your tally. I edited your post rather than making a new one. :)

It is a very interesting leader board so far... dominated by players who had huge questions marks over them coming into the season...

Can Dal Santo step up and become the player he once seemed destined to become?, Can Leigh Montagna get back to his 2007 form and become a real match winner? can Gilbert really make a position his own and continue to improve? Can Kosi become the player we all want him to be? will Goddard become elite in 2009?, can Farren Ray become a good player for us? can Clinton Jones improve his disposal and find a role in our starting 22? can Baker and Gardiner return to the type of form that saw them be some of the game's best players?

All these questions have been answer very positively early on, heres to hoping they can keep it up...

Interesting to note that Jason Gram, Lenny Hayes, Nick Riewoldt, Luke Ball and Sam Fisher all yet to poll a vote... if we are on top of the ladder without those 5 dominating we must be doing well...

Long may it continue...

Is there going to be an official award given to the player that wins it at the end of the season???

When staff transfer from my work place, we give them an engraved glass award for their service with their name and time spent at my work place.

If feel confident that the place where we get these done can engrave our saintsational.com (in it's proper font) and the players name and year ect.

It stands about 7 inches tall and costs about $60.

I am sure posters will be able to donate that in no time.

I'm in .

Find out how much it will cost and we can factor it in with the group sponsorship funds? Might save some administrative hassles that way.

Once it's done I'll arrange with Scott Fitzgerald at the Club to get 'our delegation' and Roo together to present it to him.

Maybe St Fid can actually do it at the B&F as he's already going (sponsorship prize) and we can arrange for a group photo to be taken with our representatives giving the 2008 and 2009 awards to the worthy winners?

That's fantastic!

I have only seen the one of these Glass type trophis and it looks fantastic, we used to have a wooden one with the map of Victoria and the police badge, but the one we have now looks so much better, but it's was more expensive.

The social club all thought that it was a better idea...

I really don't know if it is glass or perplex, but to me it felt like glass and it can come in a shade (we have a blue tinge) ...

it's on a (glass) base and the rest its in a form of an irregular triangle...

I was thinking of a black tinge for the base and a red tinge for the main or maybe vise versa...

with the engraving...

saintational (with the correct font) Player of the Year 2009

and then the name....

What do you think?

Don't want to b picky but I think your leaderboard is wrong. I think you have given everyone double votes for rounds 4,5 and 6. I have made up a quick spreadsheet if you want I can update every week or so or e-mail it to you.

At the halfway mark of the season things are really beginning to heat up, Lenny Hayes has taken the lead after polling in the past 7 matches for an incredible score of 27 (That is average 3.8 votes per match in the past 5) !!!

Montagna's great form is clear to all with him sitting comfortably in second place.

The two Nicks are next in line both sitting on 23 and will definitely be there abouts in the end.

Justin Koschitzke (15) and Brendon Goddard (12) are the only other's who are likely to come into consideration come round 22 but it is still great to see names such as Clinton Jones, Farren Ray, Zac Dawson, Stephen Milne, Jason Blake etc. popping up, it really highlights the balance we have across the team.

I just noticed that you mentioned LAST year....

But do these glass type trophies come in a colour font ???

And are the able to use the same font as our saintsational.com??

The ones we use for Victoria Police have a blue colour tinge in the police badge for about $50

I am just wondering if this is available with your quote and also having our saintsational.com logo placed on it, before I make my vote

The engraving on the glass or crystal is done by laser - so any font or artwork will be available - however - tinting the glass or crystal may be more difficult if you wanted say a red and black block to match our jumper!

That looks good, as I have mentioned with the trophies we have made up ones they can do it with a tinge and for around $50 all up.

Are you in a position to contact the people who have the trophies that you have provided the pics and ask them if they can do a tinge or red for the saintsational.com??

If they can, I would vote for one of the glass trophies

Also Moorabbin Saints knows the name of the font that is used for saintsational.com
