Back line kudos

Post: # 726745Post quidnunc »

Our percentage of 200 is tribute to a great team effort but kudos must also go to our backline and those getting back into it, for our points against total of 226 - this is a mammoth 45% less than any other side to date!

Was there on the outer wing as a youngster flying the flag in '66 - still loyal, still passionate!

The lack of points scored against is not just the backline though...it is the way that our entire teams set-ups and plays whenever the opposition gain the ball...

We give them our back-half and absolutely nothing in our forward half...and harry them with enormous pressure whenever they try and go forward.

The opposition are forced to chip it sideways till a turnover is forced and we rebound.

Flying the World in comfort thanks to FF Points....

Great isnt it :P

Dropped out intensity somewhat against the purple witches hats the other night...Need to lift it again against Port.

The recruiters have done agreat job getting defenders when you think we have a complete bachline out of the side.

Dempster Hudgtom Begley

X Clarke Maguire R Clarke

Great position to be in!

that's a pretty strong backline.

down the track we might have to re-deploy a few of those guys in different positions to get them into the side.

raph or x, for example, could go into the mids or forward.

True, but we have to keep them on the park.

Of that "second back six", Begley is the only one that is possibly going to be consistently injury-free.
