Level 3 or Musical Chairs ? !!
Will they be keeping Level 3 closed this week seeing it's a North home game? If so, where are we all sitting?
My crowd estimate is 29,654 which hopefully means they open Level 3 right from the start !!

even if it is closed, they dont close all of it. just the sections the camera from the wing cant see, that is the other side from the MW. they usually keep about 8 bays on the third level open and 1 of them is the MW bay.
"Another storied win in Robert Harvey's career. They say he is the embodiment of their motto of strength through loyalty, and on the day he became just the tenth man to play 350 league games the saints reward him with a seemingly impossible victory."
Was at the North V Port game and half the top deck was closed. As described earlier, everyone sits on the side the camera shoots at.
only problem was one of the players ended up kicking the ball into the third deck on the opposite pocket. Took someone a few minutes to walk around and get it.

No one ever built a statue for a critic.
It should have been closed for the North games against Freo and Port which only attracted 15,000. They expected 20,000 and got 21,500 for the Lions game which was always going to be too many people for levels 1 and 2.
Basically they stuffed up all 3 games really.
They did actually close it for one of our games in the past. It was a round 22 game against North. We ended up losing the game but the game was more noteworthy for it being Nathan Burke's last game and he addressed the crowd which was a nice touch.
Level 3 won't be closed for any Saints games again, we've got too many supporters for that.

Ahh nope..that game v North was Round 22 2000..and you are quite right..they did close L3 but Burkeys last game was Round 18(?) 2003 v Richmond at the Dome. CLose to a full house and we saluted by 88 points.sainter35 wrote:It should have been closed for the North games against Freo and Port which only attracted 15,000. Burkey handed his No 3 jumper to X, which he wore the next week v Carlton at OO

He did address the crowd after the game, but that was because we had won 2 games for the season and thanked us for our support.
He was right that we would improve as well, we went from 2 wins to 2.5 wins the next season.
That Richmond game was great. Danny Frawley actually copped a lot of criticism in the media for making the players stay out on the field and for congratulating Burkey that night.
LOL he copped some flak from some Tigers supporters I know too lol. Always a Sainter at heart and never coached properly against us for that reason apparentlysainter35 wrote:Yep, you're spot on.
