What would you do???
It's the end of 2010.
Ross Lyon's contract is over.
We've one at least 1 flag under him.
Harvey is ready to be a senior coach, and is being scouted by other clubs.

Buckley won't be around that long.

If we had one flag, I would tie him up forever.
Serious no brainer. Lyon would stay.
Stretching the comparison of Malthouse and Buckley.....Malthouse has had 10 years without a flag at Collingwood.
(And quietly - based on not much but their respective playing abilities and personalities - I reckon Buckley would make a better coach)

Oh well, at least it's original and doesn't involve crappy stats and bagging players.saint vince wrote:Ohh FFS. I thought we were crystal balling when we were looking at changes to our list at the end of the year.

Actually, I wouldn't give flying freckle what they do. If we win a flag, I'll be nursing a hangover for the next 3 years. And give a whole new meaning to "premiership hangover".

The term "Buckley's chance" came into the language because the colonial police reckoned he had no chance of evading their search.
They never got Buckley, and neither will St Kilda.

No it didnt. It came into our language because there was a store called Buckles and Nunn.ace wrote:plugger66 wrote:I'd get Buckley.Milton66 wrote:It's the end of 2010.

Off topic...but it is disputed how it came about with several possibilities.plugger66 wrote:No it didnt. It came into our language because there was a store called Buckles and Nunn.ace wrote:plugger66 wrote:I'd get Buckley.Milton66 wrote:It's the end of 2010.

On topic.
RL re-signed....no-brainer.
The Blues to sack Ratten and go for the Premiership assistant Coach in SOS as their new Coach.
RH could possibly come back as an Assistant Coach...but so far he does not seem to want to be a coach-in-waiting....and may stick with being a Development Coach, but will more likely drift off into full-time business.

Trawling? Stalking? Same difference. Who cares if sad sacks can't enjoy life.Thinline wrote:As opposed to you, like me, who is sitting at home trawling an internet forum about a football team.
Lighten up Stinger...
Interesting point SRS about SOS. Lyon put him up this week as a possible coach. Not sure they'll sack Ratten, unless they do a Saints and lose few prelims.
