Who makes up our best back 6?

Post: # 753613Post farquhar »

Who would you have as our best back 6?

Fisher is our leading defender, but what would be the dream defense come finals time.

Are Baker or Maguire in the best 6? Baker is doubtful and it may be too late for Maguire this year already.

Who plays on the opposition's best small forward?

Agree. So it's:

Lawrence Murray Fisher
Barker McIntosh Peckett

B: DAWSON -- HUDGHTON -- (BAKER/DEMPSTER)

HB: GILBERT -- BLAKE -- S.FISHER

Others who can step up in that area....

Maguire (CHB)
Goddard, Ray, Gram, Geary, R.Clarke - HBF

Dempster is an integral part to our backline. The guy is actually 6'3 (1 cm taller than Blake) but plays like a small back pocket player role due to his pace and great ground skills. He can take on a speedy small or a quick tall.
I think a lot of people have forgotten how good this kid was before he got injured.

i think that back line is pretty spot on but might be a bit too top heavy against some teams. i think bakes and Dempster should both be in but as who to drop I'm not really sure probably be outta Dawson and Blake but both have been pretty solid this year...

I think we may have to wait a little bit for Dempster, the guys only just gotten over a knee reco. It could be a month or 2 in the 2's and then if the opportunity presents a further 3 to 4 weeks in the 1's to pick up the tempo.

I've never seen a bad St.Kilda player - that's just how they are.
