I remember the last round of 2003, when they got miffed about our young 'glamour' kids, and thought they were better...well, as it turned out we were better for the next two years, but then they overtook us, won the ultimate prize, while we sorted out our coaching department...
Now the rivalry will build again....Hope we smash them...

(BTW, I work in a cafe and a few of the Geelong players come in occasionally, often on a Friday. I usually don't even recognise any of them till the other girls point them out to me.
Anyway, I made some JOKING comment about how I could help the Saints to victory by either "accidentally" causing injury by running our stock trolley into them, or putting something in their food to make them miss the game. Clearly joking, and they all know that, but now they don't point them out to me til they're leaving, just in case.......
The people I work with are usually pretty intelligent, but really! Get a grip!)

Pg 18-19 of today's Geelong Addy has a Cats V Saints "Mega Quiz" if anyone's interested.
I wasn't aware that if Geelong wins this week they break a record set in 1953 for their best ever start to year. Hope we deprive them of that.
Pg 5 is also encouraging all cats fans to get ahead of the game and wear their colours whatever they're doing on Friday. Looks like that's a day to look forward to
I won't be allowed to wear my colours at work, so I'll have to make sure I get out and about afterwards so I can show off my red, white and black! (Could be dangerous: if my seats are vacant Sunday suspect foul play and come looking for me......)

actually when i was over for the finals game between us and them last year i was sitting outside the G (was early, gates weren't quite open) and i did notice that everywhere was literally brand new cats jumpers with numbers on the back.

Since then Geelong have PROVEN they are a better team than the Saints.
55 wins from 58, a premiership and a loss in a GF.

As excited as I am about posing a challenge, I'm with you Joffa. St Kilda ain't a pimple on the Cats ar-se until we prove otherwise. Cats have been SO consistent and SO dominant for SO long...Hey, if it bleeds etc, but I feel no shame for wearing a rather large underdog badge on my Saints jumper this weekend. They've plied their trade for the best part of three seasons. We are apprentices. The so-called rivalry is an ABSOLUTE beat up.
