Post: # 812503Post Enrico_Misso »

We must always have a Raph thread.

Did he do enough ?

Don't think so. Looked lost at times.

I think he did and he went forward when required and did what was required up there, even if he missed a chance to put his name on the scorers sheet.

was good in the last, dont know if he did enough over the course of the game. One long handball to a player the way Raph put it in front of him was sheer class

That would be to set up Roo's goal of the day :D

Raph tries hard. That is probably the best I can say.

In the first quarter he was overawed, but got into the game as it went on a little more.

Had a few score assists, only a couple of them to St Kilda.

one of the most important moves from ross was moving raph forward.

Started to create options going forward and his creativity lead to the second last goal. Was good for most of the match but could be so much more damaging as the third tall. Especially if chips and gilbo keep racking it up off half back.

Loved the people near me, raph gets a terrible handpass from blake, a player is basically tackling him before the ball gets there. Raph shrugs it, hands it off and we get away. No cheers, no support just a simple "lucky raph".....

sheesh some people love to hate certain players.

Thought he looked composed when he had the ball and was servicable. Not great but no complaints.

Thought he was ok, looked a bit overawed early. Not sure if he will hold his spot.

Terrific second half... first half was very shakey and didnt really have a role to play...

Once moved to the forward line, really stepped up...

Should keep his spot for sure imo...

he minded Lockyer and did a fair job IMO....

A much better job than this poster suggested in his first quarter comments..

Did his job ,guarded space, kept his opponent quiet and lent a hand when he could. Must be so hard for a natural footballer to play the game like that. Reading that back that is not a racist comment, a natural footballer sees ball ,gets ball and disposes ball. This P.C. world shi**s me.

Raph was good, better as the game went on.

And, while we all want Max in, it won't be for Raph. If Raph comes out, he'll be replaced by Dempster.

Firstly today, I sat next to a supporter on the train who touched on a Raph slag but I stayed calm. Then the three women behind me at the game (M35) were bagging Raph for the whole game until he went forward. Every Collingwood player in the back line who was standing on his own was Raph's fault. Sure Raph hasn't really had a 'match breaking' game this season and he did make a few mistakes today and fall over at least once and was missing on his man a couple of important times ... but I think that the selection panel wouldn't be picking him if he wasn't up to doing the right thing in the overall scheme of things if he wasn't up to it. Raph has a finals body, he can read the play and has some excellent skills.

Raph did a few very good things today just like a few others IMO.

Made a few mistakes but did a few good things as well. Got better as the game went on. IMO has done enough to hold his spot.

my thoughts - couple of poor errors early, but got some confidence from those good consecutive tackles in the same play.

No one is getting dropped next game. the only players who could are in order Eddy, Bally and then Raph but no one is going to go.
