Over the last six weeks we have relied on a handful of players, our skills have deteriorated to the level we saw in 2006/07 and our players, despite an extra day, will not be as fresh as Geelong, who had very little pressure at all tonight.
Our game plan is such that we should be able to control the damage for a significant period of time, but I'm afraid we will be looking for a miracle some time in the third quarter.
We peaked in rounds 14-17, just a bit early.

I don't know why our guys would bother watching...we all knew what was going to happen and I'm sure they did too. Saints know what needs to be done...we did it in R14, we'll do it again.

If Collingwood had applied that level of pressure on us two weeks ago, we would have won by 10 goals as well.
Bulldogs applied pressure on Geelong, and they almost cracked.
We may have peaked during the season, but we may not have peaked in September yet.
I do believe a lot of our pressure last night was self inflicted, the knowledge of losing 3 preliminary finals would have been in the back of their minds, it's easy to say that it's only history, but look how many teams seem to have the wood over other teams when logis says it shouldn't happen.
Our players played very nervous last night, especially in the first quarter.
But that monkey's off their back, they can now feel free to play like they got nothing to lose.
Trust me, Geelong has a lot more to lose than we do next week.
