Russell Robertson

Post: # 837576Post gringo »

Does anyone rate R Robertson? He would come at minimum wage and fit our mid size forward role. He did have the archilles injury but was taking big grabs late in the season.

The Saints mids would spot him up a bit better than the dees. And he can mark overhead and kick goals on the run.

Milne or Schnides would be looking at losing their spot. Our small forwards looked too small against geelong.

Let's pick up Matty Lloyd and Scott Lucas as well. Robbo is finished.

Jason Heatley still plays SuperRules doesn't he? So he still must have a degree of fitness about him.

Worth a thought?

Dont rate Robbo, never have. Always seemed like a guy who wanted to be a singer/songwriter but was forced to play footy instead.

Would be a waste of a spot

Does not suit modern fooball due to his lack of forward pressure.

Plus he is not what he was....

Proven he can't work with Roo and Kosi. If we tried to trade Roo, what would we get? maybe a 4th rounder?

So then we could have Kosi with Gehrig back and a quality 4th round pick.

Would they have looked as small if the final goalkickers read " Schneider 5.0, Milne 2.0, McQualter 1.0"?

Our small forwards cut up Geelong... they just didn't finish the job.

Schneider in particular was 3 poor kicks away from a Norm Smith medal.

Oh yeah, no to Robbo... Lynch is our man.

Simple, ask Robbo what forward pressure means.
When he looks dumdfounded you will have your answer.

When I was a young child, I knew that I knew so much about so much.
Now that I am old and know so much more, I know that I know so much about so little, and so little about so much.

but the fact is milne gets a case of the jimmy legs for the crucial games. always has. he's been given so many chances. in order to win a premiership, we need him to perform. don't get me wrong, have loved watching him when he's red hot, but his inconsistancy is killing us.
