With our first pick in the ND we should select.....
.....SAM REID (18, Murray Bushrangers, 194cm, 87kg) Reid, the brother of Collingwood player Ben, does his job in quieter style, but goes for his marks if they're there and seems diligent and fairly calm, which I like in a defender. He has the speed and endurance to do those things at a higher level.

I know nothing about the draft... or the kids... but what i have seen in the media tells me that melbourne clubs over-rate TAC kids. I do know Sth Aussie won the National under 18 champs easy. Pumped it in. Yet the Age only has one sth aussie in the top 20??? Go figure....The HUN does not even report on them at all!
Common sense tells me the bargain/value at 32 will come outside the TAC and mots likely from a Sth Aussie - as we have done last year with Stanley and previously with Sam Fisher.

Yes, I think he is slightly taller than his brother Ben and will be the type of player that we can bring through slowly to eventually replace Blake. If he is stll there at 32 we would be mad not to take him. I get the feeling he will be gone before we get a chance to draft him...but you never know.BallBanger wrote:Throwing names up is ok Nick...
