He was mostly asked about his "new" life.

When asked when he knew things were not working out at St Kilda he became quite evasive and said something about not thinking about it until after the Grand Final. No real reason given.

He didn't mention why he wouldn't sign the contract that was on the table from the middle of the year or how he went in one week from being dedicated to the St Kilda cause to deciding that he had to be traded to Collingwood.

$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ and no loyalty to mates who took pay cuts so he could underperform for his $600k a year.

Lance or James??

There comes a point in every man's life when he has to say, "Enough is enough." For me, that time is now. I have been dealing with claims that I cheated and had an unfair advantage in <redacted>. Over the past three years, I have been subjected to a <redacted>investigation followed by <redacted> witch hunt. The toll this has taken on my family, and my work for <redacted>and on me leads me to where I am today – finished with this nonsense. (Oops just got a spontaneous errection <unredacted>)

The answer to why Ball left is easy, he wanted to continue earning $600K playing at his current standard. RL wasn't going to let him do that.

Easiest way to pick a liar is they do not answer the question. Ball when asked when he realised he first thought about leaving Stk ummed and ah ah'd a hell of a lot and then stumbled his way through to say after the grand final he thought about it then.

VCE 99.? and obviously all those head blows have resulted in longer term memory loss as can remember Sept but not July..

IN all honesty though, do you really expect him to come out and say that half way through the year he wanted out of the club or was thinking of leaving? I've been as critical as anyone about his decision to leave, but I'm not sure we need to hear it from the horses mouth to draw our own conclusions do we? The fact that a contract was on the table from mid way through the year and that Ball refused to sign it says enough. Actions always speak louder than words.

Defintely didn't hence the sarcism. Just reinforces the character of the individual.

He'd been thinking about it since mid year.....At least be honest and say so.....

Didnt want to it to come across that he was thinking about leaving....while playing in a grand final with his current side.

Tend to agree. I'm a bit ambivalent about Ball now to be honest. I don't wish him well, but I don't wish him ill either. I am genuinely curious as to how he will go this year. Believe it or not there's part of me that would love to see him get back to 05 form again and part of me that would love to see the saints vindicated with their stance.
