Was pretty impressive in his limited game time.

Would play 22 games at most clubs IMO...

I think he has star written all over him. There was discussion in the commentary about can we sustain a forward line of Riewoldt/Kosi/Stanley... the point was made that we did well with Gehrig/Riewoldt/Kosi and I tend to agree.

Stanley would provide another strong marking option... I don't know how other teams could cope.

The Swans nearly did tonight.

So near, yet so far...maybe they will oblige you round one plugger.

Good point, I completely overlooked pre-season matches being an indicator for the rest of the season.

From my recollection that fwd line was a flop. Kosi may be looking over hos shoulder, which can only be a good thing. If he goes missing as he is wont to do, Stanley can fill the gap perhaps. But let's not overdo it. He's still raw.

Hope not but I hope you can get your second eye working by then. Stanley will be a star but he isnt playing round one in the forward line.

Huh? Never said he would, I'd be surprised if he playes more than 3-4 this year.

Very exciting, certainly great insurance should we need him.

He certainly looks promising to me. Barring injury to Riewoldt or Kosi, I still think he'll play for the Zebras mainly in 2010. I hope he stars there and starts to put some pressure on for an AFL spot.

Stanley can't expect to do much more given his game time. I reckon he will play at about 10 games this year. I agree that he's done everything right so far

From the limited time he's got so far,he looks more than capable of holding a spot. Give Rewoildt a rest next week, and play Stanley/Kosi duo....let Kosi know he has competition.

We wouldn't have won tonight if he wasn't subbed on

Put a top 5 draft number next to his name and people would be talking Rising star favourite

His forward pressure and chasing is exceptional. Just put him in and let him go,for the first part of the season anyway

I only saw the 2nd half... but he shows a lot of class, and seemed to contribute more than Kosi.

A very exciting player!

When I always remeber them falling over each other and one not being there at a time (ie Kosi ruck, roo up the ground).

I'm with Captain Buzzkill. Stanley showed a few exciting flashes, but didn't do enough to suggest he's close for round one. Handball receive, goal, tackle, contested mark (on Mike Pyke), ineffective kick. It was a nice cameo. It's still likely to be Roo, Kosi and the small brigade up front in round one.

Also, Kosi rucked a lot back when Gehrig was here. Gardiner and King didn't play their first games for us until after Gehrig played his last.

Yeah nah pleasing positive

All i can say is ..

Lucky we had Milne and Stanley in the forward line in the last quarter - Milne kicked 3 goals - but we also had Stanley kick one and create another one from a great chase. tackle and turn over.

Stanley makes our forward line look more potent by at least 2 goals = that's got to be good.

So you mustnt be a true Sainter either. Honesty aint the best policy around here. The worst part is I have said he will be a star from day one but of course that doesnt matter.

He did a couple of great things in the last quarter.

But prior to that I didn't even notice him.
How much game time did he get in the first 3 qtrs?
