That was NOT Saints Footy

Post: # 912001Post Sainter_Dad »

Personally - I want to see the Trademark scores for that round. In fact the team goes on about their trademark scores so often - I would love for them to front the crowd and explain what they thought of that game.

Before I get jumped on:
- I dont think losing will hurt us - It MUST hurt the Bulldogs next week!
- we need to find a quality target up forward (and I know that the conditions were not right for big men tonight, but that last mark was shocking - hands in the wrong place - not positioned, I would still play him next week - but better be a blinder)
- the game against Freo took A LOT from us!
- More TEAM less self next week (Mini Milney was right next to you in the square)

Disagree.. Saints Footy was there. The players worked hard, defensive set-ups etc were there, tackling was there...Port hardly scored etc..

But we butchered the ball...and Kosi and a few others spilled some very gettable marks.

Port applied very good pressure and quitea few off our players had poor disposal s under the pressure.

Agree that we did work hard.

I think we were off tonight after a tough game against Freo, but as for Kosi......have to bite my tongue on that one.

Rodan was excellent.

We lost, we learn, we move on.

Trademark scores:

Disposals -16
Marks -19
Tackles were Even
Cont. Possessions -1
Disposal Efficiency 71.64 to 71.59 our way
CLANGERS 50 to 35 OUR WAY
MARKS INSIDE 50 WERE 10 to 3 THEIR WAY
Centre Clearances +1
Clearances overall Even

Looking at that I reckon our trademarks stats were fine. Poor disposals, poor forward line and goals from counter attacks cost us.

That stat says it all for me when we only lose by 10 points.
