Hird said on the Fox Sports commentary, "Is he [Blake] the least talked about player who is actually good?"

In what has otherwise been a disappointing year so far, Blake has been superb and definitely doesn't not get the recognition he deserves.

Couldnt agree more. His effort never faulters, his consistency is fantastic and he is probably one of the most efficient ball users in the side at the moment.

Has eradicated the brain fades of earlier years and is now a vital part of the backline.

I was a Blake basher a couple of years ago but apologise now as he is a great servant to defence and makes many good decisions.

Far better back than forward IMO although I wished he could have kicked that goal late today.


Midfield clearances and clear winners are needed to make an effective forward line.

You need to protect the ball handler to increase posession efficiency
