IMO - Wow. He would get out and the upside is from there he could not kick it oob! Seriously, he could be the X factor we need but again robbing Peter to pay Paul

Love it when he takes players on. Gets away with it more often than not.

Robbing peter to pay paul.

I'd love to have goddard at CHF and roo at ff.

but that would just lose us so much from the wing and HBF and centre.

Does a great job at HB.

Just to valuable else where. Had the same problem with gram a few seasons ago, until Goddard, Fish and Gilbert were the big driving force from half back which released gram. Kinda like Raph playing back and BJ playing, well... everywhere.

maybe but not at the moment ...
he's doing just great where he is and often needs the space to weave and run onto his left which would be more difficult midfield where you need to be slick on the boot both sided in the tight stuff

Move our turnovers a bit further up the ground? Great goal he snapped...maybe he needs the sticks for inspiration. However, far to important down back...so long as he punches or handpasses.

I think he could get away with this in the tight stuff. And as a real plus he is tall enough and fantastic at raising his arms and getting them free.

Yep goes under the radar... Last few weeks and first half today his kicking was woeful.... Absolutely. Def needs to improve.

+1 - the only negative about his game today - too many clangers

Plays to close to the boundary line IMO, doesn't leave much room for error.

Gilbert's marking across the backline has saved us time and time again....often when we are under seige.

Leave him there.

No way... his great marking and explosive pace makes him deadly off the HB line. Once he regains his confidence with his kicking again he'll be in AA form.

His attributes would be handy in the midfield, but his best position atm is clearly in defence.
