raphs hammy

Post: # 941338Post mr six o'clock »

Why did we play him ? His hammy was suspect last week and now he's done it ! Is it because we have no one capable of filling his role in the reserves? Hmmmmm filling his roll ..... aarrghhhhh

I thought I read that he had scans last week and they came up clear. Also, it was his left leg today. I thought it was his right leg last week !!

NEW scarf signature (hopefully with correct spelling) will be here as soon as it arrives !!

There was a lot of speculation about his hammy after the last game, but nearly all of it was on this site!

I trust those close to the action to know best and they must have thought he was okay.

May be just one of those things.

Big loss for us, he's been a fantastic replacement for Gram for backline run the last month, plus hard at it. Didn't hear about any hammy trouble with him last week. Hopefully Gram might be a chance against the Cats.

and we covered his loss well , considering he was one of our best playing very well at Subi in our recent win against the Weagles

Unfortunate for him as I was hoping to see him back up with another gooddie to support the theory he plays his best on the wider spaced grounds includiung the G

Disappointed for Raph, but at least we have the bye next week.

Last year Max Hudghton's body became to unreliable to risk playing in the finals.
He was always a great player when fit.
But his body could not be trusted not to do a soft tissue injury early in the game and so hamper the teams prospects.

Raph Clarke's hamstrings are reaching the same levels.
Raph is definitely in St Kilda's best 22 when fit.
But can the club afford to play him in a final when his hamstrings have a 20% chance of failing in any given match.

i thought we missed raph a lot today when he came off and would have won much more easily with him.

but you do have a point. i feel for the bloke because whenever he runs into his best form twang goes a hammy.

let's hope our medical staff can pinpoint the reason it keeps happening and stop it.

Kudos to the commentators for finally spotting this in the last quarter.

Leigh Colbert is a huge waste of space.

Great expert commentary, a player goes missing for 2 quarters and they finally wake up, that he has been sitting on the bench in his track suit for 2 quarters.

We missed him greatly, his run off half back can be valuable and his ability to get back to help out a team mate in a marking contest is life saving.
Unfortunately the reason for his problem is so obvious.
His hamstrings have gone twang so many times they are made out of scar tissue.
