Even without Roo we should still have these two team covered. Essendon played out of their skins that night. They kicked 3 or 4 extremely flukey goals and we wasted our gettable ones. The Post Adelaide game was the worst game the St.kilda football club has played under Ross Lyon. The fact Port only knocked us off by 10 shows how bad they are.

Its good to see Essendon being placed right back in their box! They beat us fair and square when we played them (as did Port) and it just proves the old adage that "any team can beat any team on any day" to be correct

I hope so, what we learn in that game could be applied to Carlton should we play them later.

We squandered that game....

Essendon are shyte.

So are Adelaide.

I guess using the "We squandered that game" logic one could say that we should have lost against the Doggies and Collingwood???

You could...

But you could say we squandered the game against Port as well.

Had more than enough opportunity and blew it.

We gave the filth a touch up...but yes, the dogs LOST their game to us...

To answer my own question....Hille and Fletcher are out for Essendon currnetly, they do make a big difference wich is interesting considering they are not the alleged quick one's.

yeah very different side to the one that beat us. Remember that they played us on the break very well.

Actually it was a great learning process because we now only play forwards as forwards.....

From memory, they beat us with speed..... also, as Ross Lyon pointed out today, we are always the 'hunted' now. Teams can often play one out of the bag against us!
