Games after Gabba

Post: # 959298Post Thinline »

I don't have the time or the patience, but has anyone out there looked at how sides have gone week after playing in Brisbane?

All year there's been this talk of hard ground and prolonged soreness...

Not looking for excuses...Pies probably would have knocked off anyone yesterday...Simply wondering whether it may have been a possible reason for general sluggishness...

"The inches we need are everywhere around us. They're in every break in the game. Every minute, every second. On this team we fight for that inch. On this team we tear ourselves and everyone around us to pieces for that inch. We claw with our fingernails for that inch. Because we know when we add up all those inches that's gonna make the f***in' difference between winning and losing! Between living and dying!'

Could you list which teams won and which teams lost and against whom?

I wouldnt mind playing the Doggies or Port this week. There will be some serious rehab/recovery going on after the conditions that game was played in

You'd fancy your chances if you were within 5 goals of either of them at 3/4 time next week

If the Gabba is to blame for our loss to the filth, then Brisbane can probably use the same excuse for their dismal performance in Tasmania. It was reportedly the weakest performance by any team this season.

Interesting that Collingwood have played all the other top 5 sides after a trip to Brisbane. Coincedence?

So it doesn't really seem like it's had that much of an impact. Most of those results aren't really out of the ordinary.

Malthouse was sooking about Collingwood's fixture the other week.

He failed to mention how unlucky Collingwood were getting the other top three clubs all the week after playing in Brisbane...
