Port should beat us next week....
We are soft, they have nothing to lose like Essendon.
They come off a 6 day break, us 7.
Don't get me wrong, we are in with a chance, but the rot will continue in a close loss next week IMO.
Thoughts?

None of our remaining opponents have anything to lose and all have found a semblance of form in recent times.
On form, we would lose to all of them. Seriously.
That said I suspect we will kill Port Adelaide. if we do not, season over and the razor gang gets to work on the fringe players who simply refuse to do anything other than be carried by the class.

"The inches we need are everywhere around us. They're in every break in the game. Every minute, every second. On this team we fight for that inch. On this team we tear ourselves and everyone around us to pieces for that inch. We claw with our fingernails for that inch. Because we know when we add up all those inches that's gonna make the f***in' difference between winning and losing! Between living and dying!'

Thoughts ??? Think your pretty quick to jump ship, we are in with as much chance as last year.Just remember we switched on come finals time last year and we have 4 weeks to get things back up and running. Trust in the group of players we have !!!!saintspremiers wrote:We are soft, they have nothing to lose like Essendon.

Port will run and carry like Essendon and unfortunately we don't seem able to be able to counter this kind of footy. Having said that it's about time to start Gilbert in the centre square and either park Milne in the pocket or drop him to Sandy. I think Stanley should come in and play HFF next to Roo and have Lynch next to them.
Another opportunity awaits!

Because Lynch showed so much capability, of course.Moccha wrote:Port will run and carry like Essendon and unfortunately we don't seem able to be able to counter this kind of footy. Why reward mediocrity?

STOP BEING SO F***ING NEGATIVE!!
If we don't, we may as well start preparing for next year. We are too good a team to allow that to happen. Lets see it boys

In any case, a win is a win, they just beat the Hawks, something we couldn't manage to do.
Interesting to see the odds for next week, my guess is Saints at about $1.80 the Power $2.35

Interestingly, the comment was just made by somebody on SEN that Hawthorn looked like they were 'struggling to lift their legs' and seemed to be 'running on the spot'.
Now as I'm typing this, the comment is that 'the game last week between Hawthorn and Saint Kilda was brutal' - 'both teams have shown this weekend that they have had a lot taken out of them'.

makes me give us a LITTLE bit of leeway but hell there is a big difference between running out of legs and not starting the game with any passion for the contestMr Magic wrote:Port wins - what does that say about last week's game between us and the Hawks?

Tiredness and lethargy can be both a physical and mental thing.Solar wrote:makes me give us a LITTLE bit of leeway but hell there is a big difference between running out of legs and not starting the game with any passion for the contestMr Magic wrote:Port wins - what does that say about last week's game between us and the Hawks?
