Mr consistency. Dominant from siren to siren. The only time he went missing was when he was busted open! Whether in the dry or wet, Hayes just oozes class above most in the competitin. Whenever there was a 50-50 ball to be won, Hayes was always the one to come out on top or at least create a contest. As important as Rooey.
Peake

Just kept on giving. Peake was a standout in that second term along with Milne. He's improved steadily over the last two months and tonight he delivered his best game for the club. The Peake of round one and the Peake of last night is almost day and night. Hopefully he can continue continue improving and be a solid contributor next season.
Ablett v Jones

Jones did well to shut him down when Geelong were at their best and when we needed it most. Controlling Ablett was the first step to controlling the onslaught and thankfully Jones took care of that. Jones not only ran with him, but he also knew when to run off him, something he lacked last year. Jones at his best is going to help us get one step closer to the cup.
Kosi v Scarlett

Doesn't look too good, but Kosi's role in the first half was crucial in establishing that solid lead. He overpowered Scarlett in the first quarter and minimized Scarlett's impact in the first half. Once it started pouring, Kosi was always going to struggle and while Scarlett did lift, he didn't have the usual output that you would expect from him.
Any thoughts?
