Training at the MCG
Just out of curiosity - not that it matters now - but did we have the same opportunity to train at the MCG as the Pies. If yes, why didn’t we take this opportunity, considering that we have far less experience at this ground. Would it have been of benefit to practise goal kicking in a training session at the MCG?
Or did the AFL not allow us to train at the MCG - then why not??
Just a niggling question?

I heard we were offered but refused as we wanted to maintain "normality".
I agree - stupid decision - we need as much exposure to that ground as possible.

The rest of Australia can wander mask-free, socialise, eat out, no curfews, no zoning, no police rings of steel, no illogical inconsistent rules.

They wanted a "Closed" session. Can't do that at Gosh's Paddock.......3rd generation saint wrote:I remember in the past that the two teams playing the final got to have a run on the ground.
But of course one wonders why the filth would need it when they play there almost every week.

we still have 33 years at moorabbin when needed, and the club said we will still use it for occassional closed sessions, and might even make other clubs pay to rent it for that purpose, if they are not competotors against us/same part of the ladder.Eastern wrote:They wanted a "Closed" session.
