Post: # 1043523Post Batnoe »

Beats me' why but AFL have Essendon play winner of Saints v Cats... We played them last week.

Perhaps coingwood- the AFL's lovechild deserve an easier run and play winner of GC and WC...

Well done AFL!!

Have I read it right?

It's the NAB Cup.

Who cares who we play?

It will be a better contest against Essendon that it would be against West Coast / Gold Coast.

Says in the paper we play either WCE or GC if we win. Anyway who cares. If it is Essendon we are guaranteed a home game.

would they be aiming for saints vs Pies in G/F if both decied to try hard and stay in the NAB cup- Mick didn't wish to win last night and many weren't backing them - maybe the fans heard about that.....
Mick said winning 1 at the most 2 preseason was enough before just working on strategies and practice....

You dont reckon the AFL will give the Gold Coast a home game up there? Surely a home semi final would be a good marketing opportunity for them against the best club in the AFL?? 8-)

Was Hayes quiet? Sounds like Walsh did well. it would a long time since a FB has kicked 7 in a game. Promising signs.

Yea Hayes was pretty quiet, just easing into the preseason. They decided to throw Tommy up forward in the 2nd half and he broke the game open....

LMAO! I nearly spat out my drink when I read that. !!!
Seriously thou, its a nab cup, there are more important games like 22 rounds of footy for the boys to play then hopefully another 3 - 4 games to play in September/October.

I am still giggling over that comment thou Spaceman.

Yep, apparently Geelong laid down, with KD, and half the team left the country due to Facebook allegations.

Except for the sanity nothing much has been lost.

but then again this is on the AFL website: http://www.afl.com.au/news/newsarticle/ ... fault.aspx
The result means the Pies will face the winner of the West Coast Eagles and Gold Coast encounter on Sunday for a place in the NAB Cup Grand Final.

Not sure I can trust the AFL website in matters such as this.

I'm gonna check a certain FB site that has all the right connections

10K at any Pies game suggests the nab cup is DEAD AND BURIED!

It sounds like it won't exist next year so this is a two week argument.

Or:

nab cup, two weeks

most of the week it was reported winner Gee/Saints to play winner WC/GC

afl come out today announcing Coll will paly WC either over there or GC in Melbourne.

This explain by afl ..............WC to play at home due to heavy travel load
Coll to play in perth if WC win due to their LIGHT interstated travel.....

As we have already played Ess we were going to be on other side of draw but AFL have changed.
