That is exactly my point. Cant have it both ways. Cant say someone looks ordinary one week and good another. Cant say a young guy shows plenty and next nothing. Lets just wait and see before we get rid of guys or say they are the next Harvey.

Don't be a stirring wanker. Mini, for whatever reason, was substandard last year.

Frankly, as a pro athlete, he;d want to be showing signs he was on the up.

So are e sacking him after last week or is he captain because he was great this week? Lets just give these guys a chane before we sack them or knight them.

He's been around for 7 years...probably enough time to make a judgement......

My judgement

Good in 09

Avg in 2010

Needs a better output in 2011 to keep his spot....

Adam schnieder will return......Justin kosi will return....

Ingredients

* 1 cup milk
* 1 cup quick cooking oats
* 1 egg
* 1/4 cup vegetable oil
* 1 cup all-purpose flour
* 1/4 cup white sugar
* 2 teaspoons baking powder
* 1/2 teaspoon salt

Directions

1. Preheat oven to 425 degrees F (220 degrees C). Grease muffin cups or line with paper muffin liners.
2. In a small bowl, combine milk and oats; let soak for 15 minutes.
3. In a separate bowl, beat together egg and oil; stir in oatmeal mixture. In a third bowl, sift together flour, sugar, baking powder and salt. Stir flour mixture into wet ingredients, just until combined. Spoon batter into prepared muffin cups until cups are 2/3 full.
4. Bake in preheated oven for 20 to 25 minutes, until a toothpick inserted into the center of a muffin comes out clean.

I would have been looking at trading him post last season.

He was horrible for 90% of it and a missed tackle in the draw cost us dearly.

I like his application and his courage.

I hope he turns it around.

Am I allowed these opinions?

Or is your way it?

Masterful Mini McQualter's marvelous midfield magic.

If you don't want to see him in the middle now, then you're a communist.

I missed the post where you couldnt have your opinion just like you must have missed the one where I say some are stupid. I suppose I am a knocker though because I refuse to knock or get excited over individuals in practice games.

Please comment on GF 1 and 2 and performance of st Kilda players in each?

Pretty sure that in GF 2 there were some St Kilda players who played poorly that were ok in GF 2.

It's nice to see some competition for spots happening now. It may revitalise a few players including Mini.

He had a bad year off field being at the centre of the whole Lovett case as the only sober one in attendance.

It would be a pretty heavy burden.

It may be getting to play a different role shows his strengths as well.

He played as he should have played against a substandard opposition.

Let's not get carried away, he owes us big time.

Was impressive tonight...no doubt

Lets hope that he keeps it up. If so he and Armo will be arm wrestling for the midfield role. Both he and Armo need to do it against quality midfields now.

Steven will be ruing his NZ indiscretion..as others are getting the chance to nail first 22 spots.

If he keeps that up he'll be wrestling with Judd for an AA jumper. I have no idea if he can back it up, but I can't wait to find out. Even in the NAB, against ordinary competition, you rarely see players rack up 15 contested touches, seven clearances and barely miss a target all night. On a field with five AA midfielders, he was clearly the best mid out there.
