Just curious, easier to tell from ground level.

Surprisingly for our first home game at Etihad, there were lots of empty seats. Perhaps being on a Sunday was a deterent.

How did so many Essendon supporters get access to the Social Club Reserved Seating area at ground level ??

The "ticket scrutiny" by Etihad attendants seemed sloppy to me, but I was drapped in St Kilda stuff.

Perhaps those draped in "opposition stuff" need to have their tickets examined a little closer.

I don't mind some competitve barracking, which can be a bit of fun at times, but not loud-mouths sitting in your own supporter area (who get louder as they get on top).

Perhaps the Saints management need to ask some questions of the Etihad management :?:

There was trouble near the back of aisle 35 on Level 1. The police removed 3 Essendon fans from where they were sitting in a St Kilda reserved seat area. I felt for b4e and other quiet/shy types who were closer than me and had to endure this !!

Isn't the Social Club area (near the coaches race) now a "Fully Reserved Seat" area? If so, any empty seats were paid for anyway !!

club will not care but expect more empty areas down there. Whilst those with social club membership sit upstairs because they did want the same seat week in week out. Thats the reason why the group of us became social club members during 99. Was never about grand final tickets.

But its ok cause the club has the extra money

....maybe they knew what a debacle was about to unfold.
There was an old Essendon bag in the area around us annoying me so during our verbal I asked her how she got to sit there and she said "your club sells the tickets".
Geez I hate that but some of our members must be B Rubble, F Flinstone, M Mouse and A Dog with a turn out of tat size considering there must have been 15 - 20K Essendon there.
