Played out of his skin in Q1. Imagine the hoo-ha if Kosi had played a quarter like that. Suspect it will go unnoticed by many though. Keep it up big fella.

I don't think it was his best game.

I thought he didn't go hard enough at times, waits for the ball to come to him, should of gone to the ball....on quite a few occasions.

It happened inside our 50 too, when he could of taken a grab and had a couple of shots.

He was up against quality tonight as a 22 yr old I think youre being a tad harsh...

You told me to call it how I see it, and I thought he could of presented quite dangerous inside 50 with a little bit more go.

He had the better of Ottens tonight, by a good margin too.

I thought he was fantastic. I thought also that while they were prepared to rest Kosi forward after a stint in the ruck they did not do the same with Mc.

I thought they did, to my eye he was certainly inside 50 quite alot?

I've been very critical of Ben's ruckwork. Almost overnight he's improved out of sight. Not getting thrown around as much, and timing his jumps far better. The one massive positive to come out of this year as well as the development of Jack Steven I reckon.

Rapt with him. His work around the ground has always been pretty good, but the confidence from his ruck work is meaning he's now developing into the top line ruckman we all hoped he would. No surprise that we won the clearances tonight as well.

been very good since being dropped - taken his chance and delivered so far.

Another solid game. Continually improving his ruckwork as well. Saw a couple of really nice taps down our midfielders' throats. Definitely beat Ottens tonight.

Overall another really good effort from Ben tonight and had the better of Ottens, who I've been thinking lately he reminds me of (just without the goalkicking, at the moment.) He and Jack were about the only things that made going tonight remotely worthwhile.

McEvoy's form will force Gardi out of the side until he has a few solid games for Sandy. We can't play Gardi, Kosi and McEvoy one would think. If Gardi comes up and is 1st ruck, maybe
a) kosi at FF, McEvoy CHF, Roo wing (kinda like Richardson did for the Tigers a few years ago - it reinvented him)

b) kosi FF, McEvoy FP, Roo CHF

Rooy was tried on the wing and IMO was a failure. We just have to find a way of getting Rooy back into form. Dont think the wing is the way. Anyway Ben rucks and MG doesnt come back unless he can somehow play forward as well as ruck. Not sure he can though.

So this is a different Big Mac to the one several people were potting a few weeks back?

The one that was no good?
The one that would never make it?
The one who had so little potential the club needed to trade for a ruckman at any cost?

Anyway, I thought it was another great effort from this particular Big Mac.

If they picked the AA ruckman from the last month, McEvoy would be in strong consideration.

That's not an exaggeration - his form has been absolutely terrific.

Ottens has been in good form. McEvoy gave him a bath.

Was huge last night. Half the reason we won the clearances for the second time this year.

Will captain this club when Rooey goes IMO. The way he has responded to being dropped says so much about his character.

Will be the first picked in two weeks.
