What to do with the Gardiner situation?
It's an awkward one.
Gardiner has been great for us in the ruck since coming over, and is a great player.
Koschitzke has struggled a LOT as a pure key position forward in the past 2 years. Just doesn't have the body strength to be able to take contested marks up forward (without a run at it).
Koschitzke looks better, and makes us look better when he is playing that floating ruck type. Took a good saving mark down back last night, and numerous last week against WCE.
Also drifts forward and sets up goals, as he did today with Milne.
Also means Koschitzke doesn't have to get bodied as all defenders try to do to him, as he is so easily out positioned.
My worry is, if Gardiner returns, Koschitzke then goes back to playing that forward role and teams start rebounding a lot easier out of our backline.
Thoughts?

MG plays at Sandy until his form warrants having a look at him in the seniors. Even then, he only gets picked if Kosi & Ben dont perform. MG needs to stay fit and keep putting pressure on Big Ben to perform. Thats what good sides do.
Life is never more fun than when you're the underdog competing against the giants.
