Just the season?

Might be kaputski for Mini.

On this team we tear ourselves and everyone around us to pieces for that inch. We claw with our fingernails for that inch. Because we know when we add up all those inches that's gonna make the f***in' difference between winning and losing! Between living and dying!'

Mini falls in the gap between an excellent VFL player and an average AFL player. Given his age, he will probably make way for a younger draft pick.

He actually may get a run at GWS on a one year...

Nah.

The way he waves his arms around on the field, he'd be a good country playing coach.

Bit of a shame as he was pulling his finger out at the VFL and pushing for senior selection.

I cant see us keeping both Polo and Mcqualter on next year.

The way the cards have fallen means Polo will stay on you would think.

Yep go away Mini. Once you are no good to us we are happy to see you go. Luckily for Gamble, Polo and Peake they didnt get season ending injuries when they were struggling in the seconds.

Its a tough game Plug. The three you mention all have advantages over mini.

Only now that they are playing well. That is my point. You could hundreds of posts saying get rid of those 3 over this current year. Luckily for them they are going better now so we see upsides that didnt exist in peoples minds earlier in the year. Mini may and probably will go but it is possible to improve. Just ask Mini. 2009.

Is this a sarcastic response to a post that doesn't exist? I can't see any one taking any joy out of Mini's injury and potential delisting.

Disagree. He played well in a team that was going crazy at the man and the football. As the erection wore off towards the end of 09 he was shown to again be the sub-standard footballer he is. Throughout 10 he struggled to lay constant tackles and was handballing it off for no real reason.

Disagree.

The three you mention are taller, bigger, and faster, in that order.

Yep they are but they were still classed as probable delisted players at the end of the year when they were out of form. Plenty said it. If Polo had of been injured in the seconds 4 weeks a go we would have had the same thread. I suppose it is the bad luck of the draw when you are injured.

Polo is really average though. Unlucky that Mini has been injured but he should have been gone years ago.

Mini should have been played as a mid or as an attacking forward, and was never a defensive negater- his skills are quite good compared to many in the seniors. I feel RL didn't use him in a way to get the best from him, but he would be a good pickup for another club needing that type of player.

Pelchen might put Mini up for a trade during trade week....

Hopefully for a first round draft pick......

LOL.

Seriously though, I reckon he could be used as a sweetener in a trade deal.

If he does go hopefully he's given a second chance at another club. GWS maybe. I wonder what compo the AFL would give us? They'd probably just laugh and give us nothing.

I can see that happening. Mabey a club with a few too many rucks or quick mids that is hurting for an in and under player might be pursuaded to part with one for a Mini plus draft pick or Mini plus player deal

He is not worth any picks but that doesnt mean he goes from our club.

The one point that noone has made is the effect Mini's injury has on our reserves THIS year

We are fast running out of Plan B players should, God forbid, injury strike in even a moderate fashion between now and the end of the season

Mini plays exclusively as a defensive forward so him being injured won't effect our reserves all that much. We don't have too many back up mids though. That's a concern, as is Gardy's rehab. If Mac or Dal/Monty/Goddard went down we would be in all sorts...

Any trades this year I would be looking to GWS. We missed out badly not trading with GCS in my opinion. Maybe for mini we could swap our round 2 pick for theirs, or something like that.
