percentage disappointment

Post: # 1113121Post mr six o'clock »

Slightly pieved with tonights game for percentage reason .
The saints under Lyon , always just want to win games interstate against lesser opposition , but a good win tonight would have put us in sixth spot.
The top 5 are virtually set now , so its very important for us to finish the year in sixth ,thus avoiding playing interstate first week of the finals .

Win the games first % will look after itself. Still 5 games to go we could possibly win 3/5 or 4/5 and will still finish 6th.

We were lucky to win....let alone boost %

Poor fwd line efficiency and Dal cost the Suns a win....they matched or beat us in most important stats and as i posted earlier in the week....only their inabilty to kick goals against our defenders will cost them.

Damn straight! Keep winning and let the % take care of itself (in some ways the draw MIGHT just be a help too!)

Firstly, let's beat Freo, then hope we aren't trashed by the Pies.

Percentage won't be the issue provided we then can beat Sydney in Sydney the following week!

We're in 7th, a bee's wizzer behind the Swans.

If the GC had not kicked their last goal we would have been in 6th, a bee's wizzer ahead of the Swans.

If we'd kicked another 10 goals we would have been in 6th, a Johnny Holmes type bee's wizzer in front of the Swans.

It will all mean nothing come the end of the Home & Away season.

I think next week will give us a nice boost. No disrespect to Freo, but their injury list is insane.

One way or another, it will come down to beating the Swans up there.

We're lucky to have as much percentage as we currently have which is only due to last weeks thrashing otherwise we wouldn't have been anywhere near the swans.

It had nothing to do with playing well.

We peppered shots from 50 and the pockets, while schneids could have killed them if he hadn't slipped over.

We were up there for the 4 points, nothing more, nothing less.

I understand the percentage disappointment, but to be honest, Gold Coast already aren't the worst team in the competition. They are better than the Tigers, better than Port, better than the Lions. It was a danger game up there with their pace and we didn't have Riewoldt.

And to be honest, I love our ugly wins. I'm in full on bunker mentality this season. I'd love us to win a game 1-0 just to annoy everyone. I've saved everyones text messages from Rounds 1-6, believe me.

Maybe it's just me, but I don't remember a season I've felt quite so fierce in sticking up for the Saints. Any 4 points we get, I'm delighted. Maybe that's just me, but given the stick we were getting from everyone, I'll take quantity of wins over quality.

Very true.

We beat the Swans in a couple of weeks and percentage won't come into it.

What if we beat them

But they win 4 out of 6

And we win 4 out of 6

And they finish 1% in front of us....who get the home final.

Sheesh...

Just keep winning and the ladder looks after itself.

4 points are 4 points.
