2004 - best winning streak in our history, fail in the second last hurdle
2005 - touted to go the next step after the previous years heart break injurys to main men cause us to struggle through but still come good in the end only to again stumble at the second last hurdle
2006 - injurys poor form up and down season scrape into the 8 to be knocked out without a wimper
2007 - new coach new hope struggle to learn the plan miss out on the 8
2008 - message gets clearer players understand their roles make an unlikely prelim

It is close to history repeating.
1991/1992 make the finals best years in a loooooooong time.
1993 turmoil at the club. ( winmar walk out) Sheldon sacked.
1997 make the GF for the first time in a looooooong time
1998 limp into the finals. Alves Sacked.
Big difference this time is Ross wasn't sacked!!! He walked. To F***** Freo!!
