Being only a few points down with seconds before the final siren the big guns should have been in the middle for the final centre bounce.

With all due respect for NDS and Clint, Bj and Lenny should have been in the midfield for the final minute.

We HAD to win that centre clearance to quickly deliver the ball down to the forwards and kick a goal to win.

Why did the coaches not make quick changes?

They showed the box and SW and DL were there, wide awake.
Dead set, you would think they were asleep.

It was their first game.

Between this and the pre-season... signs aren't great.

Having said that, in RL's first season we weren't crash hot either. It takes time to learn new game plans. Unfortunately, that could mean this is a very long season if 2007 is any indication. And I reckon we are in a worse position than 2007 because our stars are all 5 years older and we have had virtually no up-and-comers cement a place since then (Gwilt, Steven and McEvoy are about it).

I thought on one cross to the coaches box it showed DL on the tail end of a yawn....

Anyway, they are only coaches.....not miracle workers.....

That team has huge flaws that couldn't possibly be coached out....

Way too early to call. Remember us under Ross for the first year and a half. We simply showed nothing resembling a clue except at moments in the games when the gt free flow memories would take over and we'd look elite...then the quarter would end and we'd come out all fuddled again trying to come to terms with the new gameplan and roles.

Seriously? How long would it take for the runner to get out to the players needed and then players reach the centre for the bounce? Probably a bit longer than the central ump took before bouncing the ball!
