Terry Milera's Debut

Post: # 1202299Post mad saint guy »

Very impressive, particularly in the second half. He took a little while to settle in but was one of our better players towards the end of the game and was very damaging with the footy. He coped with the physical pressure better than I thought he would; he obviously has a reasonably strong core despite his skinny limbs.

17 disposals
6 marks
3 tackles
1 goal
2 goal assists

He will keep his spot and it wouldn't surprise me to see him solidify his spot as a regular very soon. He's a very good decision maker and has the skills/pace to back it up. Love his immediate burst forward when he gets the ball rather than the standard St Kilda approach of stopping, walking back, looking sideways, hesitating and kicking to the boundary line.

Looks like a very handy and very cheap recruit for us

Yep, one of the few positives. Happy with his game. Need more young players like him.

I thought he did really well, like the look of him, but he needs a good nick name.

Should play every week. Seriously - why persist with peake etc ahead off someone like tezza?
I heard him interviewed post game on abc radio. Such a shy guy. Well done to him. Im just really happy for him. Done it the hard and long way. Good news story for him and the club.

Yes, very good decision maker is his greatest attribute.

A real livewire. Terrific debut from Terry.

He needs a nickname.

At first the older boys wouldn't pass to him -he was on his own in the clear when Lenny fresh aired him and kicked a point. Once he got into the play they gave him the ball a bit more, he just looks at home on the field. Would have loved that shot he took out wide to go through.

I suspect he was trying to do the team thing and centre it: kick to the top of the square etc.

He ought to be encouraged to have a ping

Really impressive debut. When he gets the confidence to have a run and a bounce he's going to be really exciting. Great find.

On the youtube highlight reel he kicks one of those facing away from goal, he is just about my favourite player after one game, humble guy with big talent. hope he backs him self and gets a bit more cocky when he's in range. Once he gets that little bit of arrogance he should be amazing.

Was a real positive. No shortage of poise when he got the footy. Remember a game last year in the SANFL when he kicked 2 or 3 very clever goals from the boundary against my Panthers, and thought that the kid had something about him.

Schneider to a HBF perhaps... letting him use his sublime skills, speed and intelligence to the miximum whilst reducing his obvious liability which is that he finds it hard to win ball?

Milera stays in

One of Ray/Peake banished from the backline?
