Some good signs from Kosi

Post: # 1203033Post Sainternist »

Apart from his three goals, his endevours were promising. The big man seems to have a little more confidence. Seems as though a solid pre-season may pay some dividends for him.

I liked watching him try for for a couple high-flyers. Even if he did give away a free kick or two, it's good to see him backing himself.

Good first half... Went missing in the 2nd...

A 3 goal return is more than a pass for mine... Can grow on that performance going forward now, hopefully staying injury (and suspension) free...

More the mids who went missing.

Loved Kosi's game.

Actually if the Mids had done their job better, Kosi could have ended up with 6 because he had a major height and weight advantage over his opponent.

Yeah Kosi went great for 20 minutes then just gave away stupid frees & 50 meters for the rest of the game. But hey on current Saints standards he's a super star!

Started well - but was our most undisciplined by far.

3 goals isn't a pass mark for a full forward. 5 is a minimum if that's all you do.
He's neither a good forward or a good ruckman.
Sadly, Kosi has and always will be a disappointment.
Sadly for me because it has taken me this long to realize the truth. (nice bloke though)

That's 110 goals in a Home & Away season just to get a pass mark; something most modern day Coleman medalists fail to achieve.

You're a hard taskmaster linz

OK I've cut him some slack. 4 goals and 4 tap-outs per game but that's all I'll be tolerating Spaceman. He's got a lot of catching up to do.

Problem is he is useless when the ball hits the ground.
And thats not how the game is played today.
I think he needs to be playing a Leigh Brown role.
Second ruck to either Stanley or McEvoy.
The team is too slow.
Cant afford all those guys in the side at the same time.
Need the extra runner

Three goals very good.

Three fifty metre penalties against very undisciplined.

Can you believe that some people want him down back.

at least he didn't try for too many high fives - that never ends well.

If they kicked it to him say 4 of those 5 times, and he kicked 3 goals....that's gotta be a good return.

Though, where did the other 35 or so entries go?

As someone pointed out, he had a height/weight advantage, why wasn't he utilised more?

Is that his fault, is that the mids fault?

Seemed like a lot of entries just landed ahead of the smalls streaming forward and bounced funny?

Was it more of a kick it long night than a kick it to someone night?

The problem with Kosi these days seems to be that he often gets off to a flier in a game, but then disappears for the last 3 or so quarters. I think when T20 footy is brought in, he'll be perfectly suited!
Either that or we could just roll the dice that we won't get any injuries and sub him off at 1/4 time. :D

FF must fail a lot then. Kosi started well but as WO said his second half was shocking due to discipline problems. His basic knowledge of when to use his body and brain seems poor to me. He did kick well though and looked to be marking well. just needs to try and use his footy brain.

Did you get to the game P66??? Can't make judgements from TV

We're you there p66......how do you know what he was doing off the ball???

Maybe you watched the game with Chris Fagan.... The old Tassie boy, who watches down the ground footage for coaching..... Must be a good camera...

I have no idea how Kosi moved but from the camera I could see him mark, kick and give away frees. I take it you still fail debating at kindergarden?

Cant see him move on camera??? But can see him Mark and Kick???
I think they should abandon the MRP as it relies on camera footage and really, if your not there how can you really tell if an incident occurs.....maybe they should go off evidence from people in the stands with clearly a better view

Pretty sure you can watch some run on camera......

And yes, I am still failing debating at kindergarten, good one.....side splitter. BTW, I'm on holidays......take it, you work hard....

Hit the nail on the head linz. Below average forward and below average ruckman. He had a lot of potential but injuries and a lack of pace/mobility/agility meant that his potential has gone unfulfilled.

If there was no emotion in footy he would be delisted at the end of this season. But because he is a nice guy and been at the club for over 12 years, he will probably play on for at least another 3 years.
