"rested" is interesting. it's very early in the season. is that presumably because they're training the young guys pretty hard? or just because those two aren't close to the required stamina at this point in their careers?

Would you have to pay for him at the gate? Does he count as a crowd number? Hmm...

VFL Preview
http://www.sportingpulse.com/assoc_page ... D=18881172
Currently touted as a serious premiership contender for season 2012, the Zebras have displayed significant ability to score quickly and heavily against opposition teams in recent weeks. The familiar notion of a ‘fast start’ has been a feature of the Zebra’s impressive form due to their willingness not to rely on one forward to single-handedly kick a winning score. The likes of Beau Wilkes, Sam Dunell and Cameron Shenton who appear to be sharing goal-scoring responsibility, have caused havoc for opposition teams who are finding it difficult to nullify their attacking prowess

Jackson Coleman, the son of former Fitzroy and Footscray champion Glenn, has also provided another option up forward for the Zebras. After turning his back on a promising cricket career, the youngster has improved on his defensive side of the game by increasing his ‘work rate’ and aiming to apply significant defensive pressure inside the forward 50. Coburg will have a challenge to conquer what appears to be a more cohesive and team-oriented Zebras side this year.

Quote..
The Zebras are the most successful VFL team in modern history, winning seven flags in the past 20 years.

New Sandringham coach Simon McPhee is fresh from success after coaching Claremont to last year's WAFL premiership and was quick this week to hose down talk of an instant flag for the Zebras, despite all the promise.

"We're a really young group here and we've got a different mix every week. It's only early in the season and we know we've got a lot of work left to do," he said.

No sealed containers allowed in, Doc.

Thank Zebram.

How bif are the bodies of the Coburg players? They strike me as being likely to be more mature overall? But is this the case?

Fairly strong breeze here. Coburg scored well at both ends but it looks like it's favouring the Frankston end
