Slip, sloppy, slap as Suns burnt
BRENDON Goddard ought to feature on the Gold Coast's highlights reel this week.
Yes, Goddard! For he's a glaring example of the ball efficiency the Suns must strive to attain if they are to genuinely challenge opposition teams.
Sure, the versatile Saint ranks with the best of the best. But his near-perfect work by hand and foot across half-back and through the midfield emphasised the glaring gulf between these combatants in St Kilda's 92-point win at Etihad Stadium last night.
Coach Scott Watters couldn't have asked for a more ideal debut victory as a senior coach.
All his team leaders, the key performers, were up and going, there was an admirable spread of 13 goalkickers and no one sustained anything worse than bruises.

Gold Coast utility Tom Lynch went in hard on Jarryn Geary in the third quarter and incurred the wrath of Brendon Goddard. The problem for Goddard was that his remonstrations in turn riled Suns ruckman Zac Smith and young gun Harley Bennell, who combined to rip the Saints star's guernsey from his back. As a replacement jumper was found for Goddard, the Saints took the ball downfield and Riewoldt goaled

Man love for the Goddard!
Looks like he was going to kill the man with murder in his eyes.
Look I agree with him, but he needs to watch his temper for a stupid suspension.
