Once again our lack of skills and composure are killing us. Our decisions and a couple of umpiring decisions have cost us dearly. We are lucky to be so close due to Hawks poor kicking at goal.

Cant believe SS forumites spend a week picking on a 19 year old 2nd game player like Cripps while guys like Gram run around out there dining off one game and being paid 500k plus a season when they cant kick, cant tackle, cant really do anything except prance around like heroes. Half time. Absorbing game. Hawks have a potent attack and midfield but their defence simply isn't good enough for them to be serious flag contenders IMO. Lenny is brilliant. Steven is going to be a star player: I stopped believing for a while a couple of years ago, but it's obvious now.

After all the carry on here, Siposs has had a shocker so far. BJ is playing further back than usual and is looking the better for it.

Forward pressure is just non-existent. That's why they've had 10 more inside 50s than us. The way the first half went was always going to be predictable. Just happy that we are still within a shot.

Midfield not working hard enough- poor effort from NDS and Montagna so far, Steven is doing ok though. Milera and Siposs look pretty soft and would want to hit the contest a lot harder and I expect one of them will be subbed out. Milne is sadly looking like he has lost a little bit of his old spark. Polo doing ok as is Goddard and Roo. Need a lot more from the smalls in the second half.

Well lets hope the seeds of doubt plant themselves in the hawks heads. Must admit our second quarters havent been all that great this season. Hopefully we can come out firing in third and kick a few in a row and hopefully they crumble.
