"REBOUNDING St Kilda defender Jason Gram revealed today how he begged to be allowed to play on with the club.

Gram admitted the self doubts as he struggled to establish himself in the Saints' team early in his career.

The 28-year-old, who celebrates his 150th AFL game against Brisbane on Saturday, asked for more time in a meeting with then coach Grant Thomas at the end of the 2005 season.

"I was four years in the system and had played nine games. I pretty much begged for a one year contract,'' Gram said before training at Seaford today...."
