Any thoughts re this guy? From what I have heard was suppose to be heir apparent for Scarlett's job, but with the arrival of Rivers, will be looking for opportunities elsewhere.

Didn't develop as Geelong had hoped and as a result will likely be delisted if another club isn't interested in him. I'd be surprised if we have not at least enquired about him however he's probably a bit short for what we are after. It's been well reported that Watters has asked the recruitment guys to get him a monster full back, 195cms + tall to play on blokes like Hawkins, Cloke, Petrie etc.

Possibly delisted... s*** thats sad when Cats refused to let him out of his contract last year. Just imagine he went to Hawks, played in the GF instead of Schoenmakers and was a premiership hero... threre are massive similarities between this bloke and Brown... same draft... its pretty interesting that Brown was the same draft and picked up later than Lynch and Johnston last year who were both traded for what, picks in the 30s?!

Gillies is okay as a back-up from what I've seen - 192 / 88 22 yo.

If they fail with Mitch Brown, would like to prise a defender from Coll. Lachie Keeffe - 204 / 99 22 yo. No chance though.

He would be a great pick up late in the draft or even rookie list pick if he's still around. He played well in the game I seen him play this year

I say go for him as his name is Tom and that is our current criteria for this years draft period. Maybe that is part of the Pelican Brief?

If we can get him for a low draft pick, why not, some insurance if the Weagles decide they want to make Brown wait a year so he can tell them how much out of the sunlight they can stick his new contract.

It's funny because it's true.

He will be available because he isnt up to it. Fits the lack of ability and helping Sandy profile but doesnt get injured enough for my liking and still a bit to young. Prefer to wait until he is 28.

Still funny even if you have cut and pasted it from a different thread. I'm not so sure that he isn't worth the risk of a late spot or rookie selection...

so you have seen heaps of him have you? Do you know he's bad or is it an assumption based on the fact that he's getting cut from Geelong? Zac Dawson never showed much at the Hawks but I still think we got a couple of very good years from him. Not many will agree with me but he wasn't a bad player- just not a gorilla backman. I can't say I have noticed him either way, he apparently wants out rather than getting cut and geelong have claimed to be respecting his wishes but would like to retain him. if they look at him and he isn't what they are after fine but why is he a dud for getting cut?

Does that get you to 40 yet. I heard Balme on SEN the other day and it sounded like he was getting cut to me. No i havent seen heaps of him but probably more than you have of under 18 players that you seem to know a bit about. Common sense suggests he isnt up to it. But I havent seen to much common sense with some of the names mentioned on her every trade period.

Did I say I wanted him did I? I'm saying maybe you don't need to assume that someone is crap because they are no longer at their original club or have been delisted. I watch tac cup and stream the combine games because I have an interest and mates have some family members in the system. I watch TAC future stars because I love my footy. I form an opinion from watching albeit small amounts of players and forming an idea of how the players might go in the AFL. I watched the foxtel cup games and like Lee and called him before we got him because he can play, if everything goes right he should be good. Some i get right some wrong but I know plenty fall through cracks and don't get to put their careers going.

I've always been told that if u can't say anything nice about someone, say nothing at all. So I'm saying nothing
