Cripps Traded

We lose Cripps & Pick 46, received 41+44 in replacement. That's probably as good as we could've expected.

Pretty much Cripps for TDL. Downgrade but not a lot we could do about it.

25,26, 41, 44. Looks like they're the picks we'll use at this stage.

With no contract...and only two clubs in WA we had no bargaining power.

Let's hope that Brown shafts WCE next trade period though!!!!

That's actually OK.

They got Dennis Lane for 47 I'm guessing as a similar type to Cripps.

We would've only expected pick 41 as best from West Coast for Cripps, we got that and slightly upgraded from 46 to 44.

Eagles were never going to let go of Brown, so Cripps can go back home and we get reasonable picks. Brown not a star by any means.

I hope we can return the favour to egirls one day

Still got a gaping hole at FB - put all eggs in Brown basket and got zip

Martin at 50 odd would've been a much better option for mine

Agh well.... let's hope a state plodder can minimize the annual Buddy/Cloke floggings we get ..

Effectively means that we have 4 picks in the draft before the Eagles. 25/26/41/44 which could all be upgraded if the Crows lose draft picks over the Tippet saga.

I sincerely hope we find a mature bodied ready to play backman in the draft.

So which state league key defender will we take a chance on ?

How many more will we need to delist ?

Hopefully next year Mitch BROWN can walk to us in the pre-season draft !

This & I'm glad we didn't relent and overpay for Brown. We can get 4 good players with these picks too.

So be it.

West Coast well and truly bent us over but at least we kept our undies on.

Except you do not know what eggs they may have in mind in the draft.

I mean who is the best FB in the WAFL, SANFL, VFL etc that is not on an AFL list?

Yep. I'm sure there is a Plan B.

Agreed. Whilst I am sure that Brown is a good player, WCE were sitting laughing & waiting to see how silly our offer would get. Glad we haven't paid overs. FInd a cheap stop gap and spend the year in Brown's ear.

West Coast screwed us.
Cripps for pick 41 and an uprade of pick 46 to pick 44, just 2 places.

That means that Cripps has been valued as a pick 39

The best we could've expected was 41, realistically. We had no other leg to stand on. I'll take the 2 pick upgrade & they obviously took Dennis-Lane for 47 as a similar type to Cripps. We did OK considering where we were positioned.

Cripps was a pick 24, so it's not quite the reaming it could've been.

In a compromised draft at that.
