Where is Milney?

Post: # 1382166Post maverick »

Have seen press on Blakey and Kosi all week but virtually nothing on Milney.
Has he been forced to retire, what's going on.
Of the three, surely he is the highest profile and probably should have the most media.

They said on something he's not handling it all very well.

Might not want any press.

Milne would be very annoyed at the very least with the press he has received over the journey. Gun shy of any media coverage I would suggest.

He's probably been forced out which is the right call given the charges

The media would not want to praise him due to the elephant in the room !

just like the AFL will probably not invite him to be in the parade of retiring players on Grand Final day .

Regardless of the charges, I think his time was up anyway given his form this year.

Even champions like him fade in the end.

Im not doubting that and agree but im unsure he feels the same. I think our problem is if we want to play a small forward then we are in trouble as none of them seem up to it apart from Milne.

Not many have had a chance to show us yet mind you.
I think TDL could do a passable job for example.
Will be difficult for any reasonable small forward to show anything in the next year or so.
As much as I love Milney, best for our development he retires now, he will hinder development unlike Lenny.

If after his day in court he is proven innocent and has had to retire prematurely a lot of people will have to hang their heads in shame along with some on here.

He is 33 not 23, you could make a very decent argument for him retiring regardless...

No one's ever "proven innocent". All the court can say is that there's not enough evidence to prove their guilt, therefore they are not found to be guilty. And rape cases are the hardest of all to prove.

I love Milney on field, and I hope if he didn't do anything wrong that he gets off. But if he damaged someone's life, I hope he gets convicted and serves his time.

I agree , I am simply saying that if this has prematurely forced him out then that is wrong as opposed to what someone on here said earlier.

At 33? Premature? He's had his shot at it. Love Milney but his time has come.

I agree. That role will be perfect for Schnieder for the next few seasons. Cant see TDL cutting it.
