Picks 18 to 25 - pot luck?

Post: # 1407209Post cwrcyn »

Let's hope the 2013 group is not like the 2005 & 2006 ones. Ouch!

48 players in that list. About 15 have a chance to play 200 games based on form. Six of those fifteen are from the same year. So that's 9 out of the remaining 39.

You have to smart and you have to be lucky.

And clearly sometimes there just aren't good players available.

Without researching I reckon 18-25 stats over the years are better than 26-32.... And I reckon they might be better than 33-40 picks?

First one I looked at... 2008... picks 26-32/// Jayden Post, Sam Wright, Dayne Beams, Daniel Hannerbery, Jordan Roughead, Liam Jones

No matter what draft you look at, it's pretty damn random. Hopefully we finally get a stroke of great luck.

Apparently it's a very even draft up til around 20-25. Having 18, 19 and 25 we'd have to hit at least one of them, surely!

I think you'll find the 2nd round hit rate is much the same as the 3rd round, with the 3rd round doing better in some years. From 18 to 38 I reckon it's definitely hit or miss. May as well put the draftee names in a hat and pull them out at random. You'd most likely get the same result over a 5 year period.
