Kade Kolodjashnijs for pick 3 ?

Post: # 1416439Post howlinwolf »

Not sure if this has been mentioned before ?
Looks like we're into Kade Kolodjashnijs for pick 3

http://www.afl.com.au/news/2013-11-09/k ... hnijs-rise

There's some video of him online and an interview I watched a while back. He looks a good prospect. Also has a twin brother that is a player. I'll see if I can find the link.

I still think #3 is between Billings, Kelly, Scharenberg and Aish (in no particular order) !!

NEW scarf signature (hopefully with correct spelling) will be here as soon as it arrives !!

I hope so.

Kade has a nice left foot, but looks a little one sided (I could be wrong).

Billings is elite on both feet and appears to be the clever, medium sized, goal-kicking half forward we need - who also has the potential to play midfield.

Seriously.... Isn't he just a poorer version of Scharenburg....

We have a load of mid size outside, HB/Wingmen

If we select him... We are ignoring the obvious, in hope of.... Done it before but

How many ouside tweeners can we draft in a decade?

Even though I disagree we have landed on Billings. At least he is a beautiful kick and if he gets it will use it well.

Because of last years mini draft, our pick 3 is effectively pick 5 in the talent pool. So for the record here is the 5th pick for the last 10 years. Of course there was also some dilution due to the pre-selections of GC & GWS which I have not factored in. So really, no reason we shouldn't expect a Pendlebury or Boak class of midfielder if our recruitment team have done their job.

2003 Brock McLean
2004 Lance Franklin
2005 Scott Pendlebury
2006 Travis Boak
2007 Jarrad Grant
2008 Michael Hurley
2009 Ben Cunnington
2010 Jared Polec
2011 Matthew Buntine
2012 Lachlan Plowman (pick 3 to account for 2011 mini draft)

Goddard, Ball, Dal Santo

Weren't mistakes

I thought I made the call in hindsight? So you're saying, whilst I make a call before time, I will then make the call in two years and it will be hindsight?

Like my call on Lovett?

Is there any reason why you don't quote who you're replying to?

We need to draft the best midfielder we can with our pick 3, not a flanker

It's pick 3.

Hogan and Martin were taken from a limited pool of players within a certain age range. People can speculate as to where they would have gone in this draft, but that's all it would be. They were taken out of the system without having gone through their final year of colts, the champs and the combine. Their absence allowed other players to come to the fore for Claremont and WA. They may have crashed like Darling or solidified their spots. We'll never know. Our pick is still third.
