Josh Bruce
I really think this bloke is an excellent recruit.

New St Kilda defender Josh Bruce admits he needs to bulk up in order to play on the biggest key forwards in the AFL.
When asked where he sees himself in the Saints backline, Bruce said he wants to nail down a permanent key position post.
“Key defender on the first or second tall. Obviously I’ve got a bit of athleticism and I’m able to play all three posts down there but ideally on the bigger, more athletic type players,” Bruce told 1116 SEN on Tuesday morning.
“I think I need to put a couple more kilos on, I’m sitting at 96 kilos at the moment, they want me to put a couple more kilos on so I don’t get pushed around by the gorillas in the goal-square,” he said.
Bruce, who has played 14 games in two years with GWS, was traded to the Saints for pick 48 during the AFL trade period.
The 21-year old said he was excited at the prospect of linking up with former Giants assistant coach Mark Williams, should Williams be appointed as the Saints’ new senior coach.
“He’s a great teacher… He would be very adept at teaching a group like this and steering us hopefully towards a premiership in the next few years.
“As I’ve said all along, ‘Choco’ is a great mentor and if he were to come I’m sure he would do a good job as well as all the other guys that are in the mix, that are all highly qualified assistant coaches as well,” Bruce said.
The rangy defender said it was unfortunate that Watters was axed, but Watters’ employment was not the deciding factor in wanting to join the Saints.
“I joined the Saints for the club, not for the coach, I think that’s the most important thing,” he said.
Bruce predicted that former teammate Jeremy Cameron would be a handful to defend in future years.
“He’s naturally athletic. His speed for a big fella is unparalleled, especially at GWS.
“His overhead marking ability, he’s clean hands, obviously he’s got elite skills at well – he’s the full package so he’s going to be playing good footy for many years to come,” he said"

Re: Josh Bruce
Thanks for that.
I've been impressed with what he's had to say on radio so far. Sounds like an intelligent man.

I'm ecstatic to have this young bloke in the team. His attitude seems great, recognises his development to match other skilled forwards and he's got leadership ambition too.
His comments do reinforce the need for 3 quality midfielders in the upcoming draft to support Billy Longer to ensure he doesn't have to battle massive opposition attacks from waves clearances in midfield battles.
These 2 guys are key to our future with Luke Delaney providing to competitiveness needed in defence.
Midfield clearances and clear winners are needed to make an effective forward line.

Re: Josh Bruce
If Bruce needs to bulk up maybe he'll be a slow starter like Lee but may come good later in 2014

haha
couldn't ever imagine calling my kid Farren.
Sebastian is pretty bad too. Up the same tree as Francis, Gabriel, etc..
Thank God for the Aussie wit, and depth of thought, when giving out far more bearable nicks like "Seb".
