I reckon Sam Fisher will play. Give both of our "thugs " a run as they will have the next week off. It appears Jack Billings only got about 1/2 a game again today. He could do with a full game next week. Anyone else? All those who missed out today? !!
NEW scarf signature (hopefully with correct spelling) will be here as soon as it arrives !!

Had an interrupted pre-season, a few injuries last year. I have NO problem taking the conservative approach with him. Like Richo said. "He's here for a career, not a start" !!

although now fit- he is coming back from injury
last week media were saying Weller missing rd 1- he couldn't play anyway-
saw it written today - Templeton almost a lock for rd 1- he also is a rookie.

Id say Templeton is very little chance for round one because they should use Weller as the upgraded rookie.
Id be extremely surprised if Templeton played rd 1.
I think we can expect to see at least Longer, Siposs, Murdoch, Dunell, TDL, Bruce, Weller, Acres, Shenton play for Sandy with Spencer as an outside chance all playing for Sandy.
Oh I got what youre saying - sorry I misinterpreted it.
You are saying the afl rule for the final VFL praccy match before the AFL season starts is you have to be coming back from injury? - gotttya. I apologise.
So that means maybe Fisher will have a run? Maybe Markworth? Maybe Murdoch? Maybe even Spencer?

Yep thats correct. I also think players who have played only one game can also play. Of course that may have changed because there is now one less game. Who knows. Well hopefully our club does.

What's the fine in case we muck it up and play ineligible players?

I'd be surprised if Templeton plays round 1 based on his form against PA. Kid has some good attributes but is a long way off being a 4 quarter contributor at AFL level.
Life is never more fun than when you're the underdog competing against the giants.
International rookie Jason Holmes will play his second game against a VFL standard opposition, while fellow newcomers Maverick Weller, Billy Longer, Josh Bruce and Luke Delaney will all pull on the Zebras guernsey too.
After showing glimpses of composure and class beyond his years during the NAB Challenge, Jack Billings has been named, as has mid-sized forward Daniel Markworth following a knee reconstruction last year.
The other Saints taking part in the hit out are:
Seb Ross, Arrynn Siposs, Darren Minchington, Cameron Shenton, Sam Dunell, Tom lee, Trent Dennis-Lane, and Tom Simpkin.
Meanwhile, Terry Milera and Spencer White will both play in the development team at 11am.

Thanks, was going down anyway but this makes it certainly worth while. Might try and get the leave pass to watch some of the development game to see Milera and Spencer play.
A champion team will always beat a team of champions.
So presumably still injured are Steven, Gilbert, Fisher and Pierce. But good to hear that White and Milera are approaching fitness, at least.
Obviously the rules are a little different to previous years as Billings and Delaney will play 2s despite having appeared in every senior practice match.
