Post: # 1437932Post ROLS-LEE »

Ill be there with the family. Bought my twin daughters some saints jumpers and Saint Trevor hair clips. They get to wear them for the first time.

We went, but left early. A bit too hot for little kids.

A bit too hot for big kids too.

I went early because we got the VIP tickets. Most of the list was there. I didn't see, Shenton, Steven, Savage, Schneider, Newnes, or Milera.

Some of the guys were really nice and happy to engage in conversation particularly Markworth, Dunstan, Tom Lee, Saunders and Longer.

Others were quite happy to sit around a table and it was a real effort to get them to sign a jumper or take a photo. But overall a great day.

Hmmmm - you just need a pushy son in a yellow training jumper - We got all players signatures on two jumpers (including Dylan and Tom Lee on their own numbers) with about 30 minutes, except for:
Shane Savage - In New Zealand
Jack Steven - Struck down with a virus last night/this morning
Adam Schneider - Corked back - a bit of R & R

Was a fantastic idea - love that we were able to get in for autographs at the VIP function - but witha little tenacity, I reckon we still got around to every player except Nick in general population before they were summoned off.

At the start I did not think they were going to achieve the VIP thing - organisation seemed a shambles - but it came together at the last minute. Even peole who did not get to join the VIPs still got their share of autographs, if they wanted to ask, I saw at least one guy get a jumper full of signatures by hanging over the fencing and badgering the players, who were more than happy to oblige. It is great to have such a young group, none of them think they are above doing fan based stuff. Billings was fantastic at being dumped in the water!!!!!

This was the best family day we have been to in 5 years, parking was horrendous, but I have a lovely Carlton supporting wife, who was more than happy to drop us off, and collect us after the day.

Kudos to the club, it was fantastic.

I didn't miss out on anyone I was particularly keen on and got my jumper signed by all those I wanted, but as with any group of people, some were very friendly and helpful while others would smile for a photo, sign a jumper and move on as quickly as possible. I should add Weller to the list of players who were keen to have a chat.

last year I parked up near the football ground with few others near me early- but is filled quickly before 1pm today- I noticed some walked little further but good numbers present.

My son and I missed first one in 8 years (his first was when he was 1 years old) and instead spent the day in hospital with his grandma by choice. Great kid.

Thanks for the reports.
